Sinn Féin announces plans to reverse increases to tax on petrol and diesel

Sinn Féin says it will reverse the two most recent increases to tax on petrol and diesel, if elected to government.

As part of its cost of living measures, the party is also promising to cancel all planned hikes to excise duty on fuel.

Ireland has the highest taxes on petrol and diesel in Europe.

Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald says they will also reverse the planned increases on tolls.
