A man has been arrested following reports of a firearm being pointed at a taxi driver in Co Tyrone.
The 48 year old man, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm or imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence in connection with an incident yesterday morning in the Market Square area of Dungannon.
He remains in police custody at this time.
Extensive searches are continuing in the area.
Police are appealing to anyone who comes across any suspicious items, or anything they believe may be a firearm, not touch it but to contact them instead.
