The Government has serious questions to answer on the Disability Grant scandal.
That’s according to Donegal Sinn Féin TD Pearse Doherty, after the HSE confirmed they didn’t receive approval nor funding for the grant announced by the Government days before last year’s local election.
He raised the issue in the Dáil this week, that €3.4 million in funding earmarked for Donegal has not yet been given out.
Denise McGahern, mother of nine-year-old Jack, who lives with cerebral palsy, says her son was “used as a prop” by the government for a photo opportunity when the investment was announced.
