The Government’s considering an effective ban on Airbnbs in towns and cities with a population of more than 10,000 people.
Cabinet will be updated this morning on plans to regulate the sector to balance the needs of housing and tourism.
There are also plans to develop a register of properties so local authorities can check compliance with short term lettings.
