Muff service station to be decommissioned was unable to compete with prices across the border

A service station in Muff has decided to close its doors due to being unable to compete with cheaper fuel prices across the border.

In its prime, the Texaco branch employed 50 people locally and had been operating for 25 years.

Owner Colm McKenna spoke to Greg Hughes on this morning’s Nine ’til Noon Show.

Mr. McKenna says border regions are suffering due to rising costs as a result of government policies:
