Waiting times for driving tests are already showing a reduction.
The RSA says the average national wait time has fallen by almost 2 weeks since tests were offered over extended hours, at weekends and on bank holidays.
It fell from 22 weeks to 20.6 weeks.
That’s down from 27 weeks in April.
