Drivers are four times more likely to crash while using phone

Gardaí in Donegal say drivers are four times more likely to crash when using or holding a phone while driving.

In an appeal they are urging motorists to keep their hands on the wheel and by doing so, not putting others at risk.

Those who are caught with their mobile while driving will be issued a fixed charge notice of €120 and will be given 3 penalty points on their license.
