Derry City’s Liam Boyce will miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury picked up in the FAI Cup defeat to Drogheda United a fortnight ago.
The in-form striker will go for an operation on Saturday as Derry boss Tiernan Lynch juggles “a couple of niggles” ahead of their SSE Airtricity League Premier Division clash with St. Pat’s on Friday night.
Lynch says there are other good players in the squad that now have a great opportunity to “show the Brandywell crowd what they are all about”…
