Concerns raised after Irish person hit by German police at Palestine Solidarity rally in Berlin

The Ambassador of Ireland to Germany has raised concerns with authorities over footage of an Irish person being hit in the face by police.

Kitty O’Brien was attending a Palestine Solidarity rally in Berlin when the incident occurred on Thursday.

The Department of Foreign Affairs says it’s aware of the incident, has conveyed concerns and is ready to provide consular assistance to Kitty, if requested.
