There’s been a 21% increase in applications to Ulster University’s Derry campus for the current academic year.
The North’s Economy Minister, Caoimhe Archibald, says the increase in applications demonstrates the city’s ability to attract more students and reach the 10,000 student target.
A programme of work is already underway to build additional teaching blocks to ensure Derry has the capacity to accommodate that number of students.
