As Storm Amy heads across the Atlantic, a yellow wind warning has been issued for 12 hours on Friday between Midday and Midnight.
Met Eireann is warning of strong to near gale force and gusty southwesterly winds, with the potential for difficult travelling conditions, debris, loose objects displaced, and the possibility of some fallen trees.
A similar warning has been issued for the six counties of Northern Ireland
