Cat owners are being urged to neuter their pets, as Donegal faces a crisis of unwanted kittens.

It’s after a kitten was found suffocated in a plastic bag that had been dumped on the Convent Road in Falcarragh on Friday.

Since the ISPCA withdrew services last month, Animnals in Need Donegal remains the only charity in the county that will take kittens in.

However, Spokesperson Gitte McMullin says they cannot take them all in so neutering is essential:
