There’s concern that unless action is taken to address issues relating to a sewage treatment plant on the outskirts of Letterkenny, a local school could be forced to close due to falling pupil numbers.
A decline in the number of students attending the school in the Churchill area is being blamed on the lack of housing development in the locality which is hampered by the sub-standard condition of a sewage treatment plant in the area.
Donegal County Council says it has been engaging with Uisce Eireann on the matter.
