
A Ballybofey syndicate was celebrating after their dog Ballymac Jedgar won one of the three finals at Lifford Greyhound Stadium on Saturday evening.
Trained by Alan Byrne, Ballymac Jedgar produced a storming finish to win by two lengths ahead of Meenagh Malina for the Ballycrana Syndicate in 28.90 in the North West Greyhound Supplies A3/A4 525.
The big race of the night was the BoyleSports Lifford Oaks which was won by the heavily backed Magical Mag for Tipperary owner and trainer Patrick Guilfoyle, the margin at the line being just half a length ahead of Dundalk track record holder Hackney Tango in 28.69.
Meanwhile in the North West Greyhound Owners and Breeders Association A5/A6 525 Final, Avenue Queen emerged victorious for Coalisland’s Brian Robinson in 29.08.
