The theft of equipment has occurred in the Leitir area of Kilmacrennan.
The incident happened between the hours of 11am and 2pm on Wednesday last, when a steel ladder was stolen from the roadside where fiber optic works were taking place.
Gardaí in Milford are investigating the matter and are appealing for any information
