The EU Mercosur trade deal will be officially signed this afternoon.
The presidents of the European Commission and Council will be joined by South American leaders for the ceremony in Paraguay.
It comes ahead of a vote by MEPs next week on whether to mount a legal challenge to stop the controversial trade agreement.
