Seagate has submitted a planning application for a major expansion at its manufacturing facility in Derry’s Springtown area.
80 new jobs are expected.
The expansion was flagged in September of last year when the company announced a £115 million investment in the region.
It said the expansion over a five year period would facilitate the development of the next generation of hard drive to meet the rising global demand for data storage capacity.
£15 million of that is coming from Invest NI.
