Yesterday, Killybegs Coast Guard rescued a yacht in difficulty off Drumanoo Head.
At 13:21, the crew was tasked by Malin MRSC to assist the vessel, which was safely towed to Killybegs Marina for repairs.
The Coast Guard said the sailor onboard, who was wearing a life jacket, made a smart and responsible decision.
They reminded the public that anyone witnessing a person in trouble on or near the water should call 112 or 999 and ask for the Coast Guard.
