A Letterkenny-based Cllr has called for a new research and education facility to be implemented at Letterkenny University Hospital.
This is with the aim of educating, training and retaining staff in Donegal instead of having people from here train elsewhere.
It was raised by Cllr Gerry McMonagle, who was told there are currently no plans for such a facility.
