Donegal has received fewer than 1% of provisional grant offers under the 2026 Wheelchair Accessible Grant Scheme.
Just four offers were made in the county, out of 444 issued nationwide.
The first round of applications opened on January 12th for one week, attracting almost 3,600 valid applications.
A lottery system was then used to select 500 for further assessment, with additional checks carried out to ensure they meet the scheme’s terms and conditions.
