Government will help schools become non-denominational if there is a local desire for change – Naughton

The Education Minister says some primary schools will be assisted to become non-denominational, if there’s local support for a change.

A new survey has found four-in-ten parents would rather their child was taught in a non-religious run school.

More than 200-thousand households took part in the questionnaire, with detailed results due to be published next month.
