A man has been charged with the murder of a woman in Clifden, in County Galway.
The alleged offence is said to have occurred at Couravoughil between Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.
Ali Sohrabi, aged 35, of no fixed abode, was charged with the murder of Masoumeh Jafri Manojan at a special overnight sitting of Galway District Court which lasted less than five minutes.
He has been remanded in custody to appear by video link to Galway District Court next Wednesday.
