Gardaí have confirmed they are investigating an alleged incident of criminal damage which occurred in Lifford between 6pm on Tuesday and 11:35 on Wednesday monrning.
The matter is being investigated as a hate crime.
The black spray painted message has been condemned with local Cllr Gary Doherty saying Lifford is a community that includes people of all backgrounds and will not be defined by hatred.
Those with information of the incident is asked to contact Lifford Garda Station.
