Uisce Éireann says customers supplied by the treatment plant Lettermacaward may experience disruption to the water supply this morning following a power cut to the area.
As there is no power to the plant, water cannot be pumped into the network.
The utility added that power is expected to return later this morning, but it can take a number of hours for the network to refill and a full supply to be restored.
