88 Donegal residents are among approximately 5,600 people who will become Irish citizens over the next two days.
Citizenship ceremonies are taking place at the Convention Centre Dublin.
Applicants from more than 138 countries and almost every county on the island will make a Declaration of Fidelity to the Irish Nation and Loyalty to the State before becoming Irish citizens.
