Donegal’s population is continuing to grow, with the county now home to an estimated 182,500 people.
CSO figures released today show the population increased by more than 2,000 people between April 2025 and April this year, from around 180,400 to 182,500.
The population has risen steadily since 2017, when it stood at approximately 161,800, around 11% lower than today’s estimate.
