
Police in Derry say they seized suspected Class B and Class C controlled drugs during a search in the Skeoge area today.
Drug-related paraphernalia was also seized, as well as a quantity of cigarettes and tobacco.
The seizures were made during a planned search by Ballyarnett Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT), who were assisted by Foyleside and The Moor NPT colleagues.
Two arrests were also made. A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of Possession of a Class B controlled drug, Possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply, Being concerned in the supply of a Class B controlled drug, Possession of a Class C Controlled Drug and Fraudulent evasion of custom duty chargeable on goods.
A woman, aged 35 years old, was arrested on suspicion of Possession of a Class B controlled drug.
Both persons remain in custody, and police say their inquiries are ongoing.
