A row has erupted within Government over the early announcement of details of a new sports grants scheme.
The Irish Examiner reports that Fine Gael TDs and Government-supporting Independents shared details of the scheme before its formal launch.
Despite this, Fianna Fáil Minister for Sport Charlie McConalogue asked his party colleagues not to release any details while the scheme was still being finalised.
The issue has caused tensions within Government, with Taoiseach Micheál Martin expected to discuss it with coalition partners.
The new scheme will replace the existing Sports Capital Programme.
