Conor McGregor’s hugely-anticipated UFC title fight has been thrown into doubt.
Reigning featherweight champion Jose Aldo has reportedly suffered a fractured rib in training which makes him a doubt for the July 11th showdown at UFC 189 in Las Vegas.
McGregor’s opponent was taken to hospital after suffering the injury and x-rays have confirmed a rib fracture, which typically requires about three weeks to heal.
Jose Aldo’s coach says they’ll decide on Thursday weather or not the fight will go ahead.
Meanwhile Donegal’s Joseph Duffy, who made his debut in the UFC earlier in the year has taken to twitter saying he will step in to fight McGregor and beat him once again.
Duffy was the last man to beat the Dubliner during their time in cage warriors….
If Jose is out I’m willing to step in and beat @TheNotoriousMMA again!! @ufc @danawhite
