English back in form – Rio qualification confirmed

Donegal’s Mark English ran a season’s best race at the London Anniversary Games where he clocked 1:45.80 in the 800 metres.
This was also  inside the qualifying time of 1:45.80 for the Olympic Games next year.
After a couple of recent disappointing results, English ran well and was fourth in a quality field behind winner Nijel Amos.
