Magees exit World Championships in Jakarta

It’s been a mixed few days for the Magee family from Raphoe at the Badminton World Championships in Indonesia.
In the opening round of the Women’s Singles, Chloe lost to Danish player Line Kjaersfeld in straight sets 21 -12, 21-10.
In the mixed doubles Chloe and Sam reached the second round of the competition.
The Donegal pair who are ranked 32 in the world beat Chinese Taipei’s Chi-Lin Wang and Chi Ya Cheng in the first round 21-18 21-17.
The Magee’s bowed out at the next stage losing to top ten seeds KO Sung and Ha Na Kim from South Korea.
The match finished 21-15 21-9 to the Korean pair.
