The Irish Government is being urged to call for an inquiry into the sentencing in Britain of 39 year-old Donegal man Anton Duffy.
He was yesterday jailed for 17 years for his role in a plot to murder loyalist Johnny ‘Mad Dog’ Adair.
Duffy’s cousin Martin Hughes, 36, and Paul Sands, 32 were also jailed.
Cllr Michael Colm Mac Giolla Easbuig believes the sentences were politically motivated and wants the Irish Government to intervene:
