Former Ballinderry manager Martin McKinless is the front runner for the vacant Derry Senior Managers position.
The Derry Post say, McKinless is in pole position to replace Brian Mc Iver who recently took up the role of Director of Football in the Oakleaf County.
McKinless has won five Derry and one Ulster senior football championship with his native club while his most recent side was Ardboe in County Tyrone.
If given the job, McKinless’ backroom team will include former Armagh defender and ex-Laois manager Enda McNulty, and strength and conditioning coach Mike McGurn, who this season worked with Antrim’s senior footballers but made his name with the Irish rugby squad.
Former Monaghan Manager Seamus McEnaney, current Loup boss Peter Doherty, Kilrea manager Damian Barton and 93 All Ireland winner Enda Gormley have all been linked with the post.
