The Mayo county board are on the look-out for a new manager of their senior footballers after Noel Connelly and Pat Holmes stepped down as joint managers.
The pair have quit their roles, just one year into their three year term following reports of unrest within the senior squad.
Mayo’s championship season ended with a defeat to Dublin in their All Ireland semi-final replay.
Connelly and Holmes say they’re stepping down in order to “remove any obstacle that the players might perceive as preventing them from winning the All-Ireland.”
Around 30 players met with the Mayo County Board on Thursday night to discuss their no confidence vote in the management.
