Gardai in Donegal are warning the public to be more vigilant following an aggravated burglary in County Longford.
Three men broke into a house and held a number of people at knifepoint in the early hours of yesterday morning.
There have also been reports that criminals are posing as undercover Gardai in rural areas across the country.
Crime Prevention Officer Sergeant Paul Wallace says with criminal gangs constantly on the move the winter months drawing in, he is advising people in Donegal to be on the alert:
