Keith Allen is set to join the cast of Death In Paradise when it returns to BBC One next year.
The British actor is one of a number of guest stars announced for the fifth series of the crime drama set on a Caribbean island, Digital Spy reported.
He will be joined by former Waterloo Road star Jill Halfpenny, ex-EastEnders actor Paul Nicholls and former Hollyoaks favourite Emma Rigby on the cast list.
Other familiar faces heading to Saint-Marie are Not Going Out’s Sally Bretton and Downton Abbey’s Julian Ovenden.
Regular cast members Kris Marshall, Danny John-Jules and Josephine Jobert will be back in the light-hearted detective series, which will return to our screens in 2016.
Speaking about her role, Jill said: “It was such a treat to dip into the world of Death In Paradise.
“One of the great joys of my job is being able to film with such strong talent and in such gorgeous locations – this year has taken me to Chichester, Guadeloupe and I will end it in Leeds! You can’t ask for more variation than that!”
Tim Key, executive producer of Death In Paradise, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming more fantastic talent to Guadeloupe for the new series.
“We’re incredibly lucky to have such brilliant actors and actresses to accompany our equally brilliant regular cast and look forward to them all bringing some Caribbean sunshine to viewers in the cold winter months.”
