Woman returns to court charged with child cruelty

 
 
A 25-year-old Derry woman has been returned for trial charged with child cruelty.
The woman who cannot be named to protect the identity of the alleged victims appeared at a preliminary enquiry at Derry Magistrate’s Court.
She was charged with two counts of child cruelty and one count of common assault.
All the charges are said to have occurred between January 25 2013 and August 30 2014.
It was accepted there was a case to answer and the woman said she did not wish to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.
She was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on December 10 and released on her own bail of £500.
