A Donegal County Councillor has walked out of today’s Municipal district meeting because Councillor John O’Donnell was in attendance.
The meeting began at 2 o ‘clock this afternoon but when Councillor Dessie Shiels was made aware Cllr O’Donnell was present, he withdrew each motion and walked out of the meeting.
Cllr. O’Donnell was one of a number of Councillors secretly filmed for an RTE investigates programme aired in November.
Cllr Shiels says in light of this he feels he was left with no alternative but to leave today’s meeting:
