McIlroy to miss WGC event to play in France

Rory McIlroy’s confirmed that he’ll miss the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational this summer to play the French Open.
A clash between the two tournaments has been caused by the Rio Olympics, where golf will return to the event.
The world number three says playing the 100th Open de France is the best way for him to prepare for The Open at Royal Troon.
