Update: Two year old boy dies following road traffic crash in Derry

Police in Derry have confirmed that a two year old boy has died after being struck by a car on the Lone Moor Road this afternoon.
The collision occurred at around 1.15pm and involved a silver coloured Citroen Picasso car.
The driver of the car has been spoken to by police and enquiries are currently ongoing. The road remains closed at this time.
Inspector David McIlwaine has appealed to anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information which could assist police with their enquiries to contact Strand Road on 101.
