Donegal’s Brendan Boyce will go in today’s 50k Walk event at the Rio Olympics.
It’s a second games for Brendan who competed in London and set a new personal best time four years ago.
The Milford man has put in a huge effort in the months leading to Brazil by training in Spain and at high altitude.
Brendan’s current pb of 3:54.24 was set at the World Championships in Moscow and the Milford man is hoping to improve on that time in Rio.
The 50K walk starts at 12noon Irish time.
