Martin O’Neill will wait until later to decide whether to start James McCarthy in Ireland’s World Cup qualifier against Georgia tonight.
He’ll check his fitness this morning before he finalises his team for the clash at the Aviva Stadium.
The Everton midfielder is expected to start – provided he suffers no adverse reaction to his recent groin operation.
Meanwhile, fellow Everton player Seamus Coleman will captain Ireland in his first competitive game this evening at the Aviva Stadium.
