A motion has been passed at the latest sitting of Letterkenny Municipal District Meeting calling for the Town Council to be reinstated.
Representations are now to be made to the Department of Environment outlining the impact the absence of a Town Council has had to Letterkenny.
Councillor James Pat McDaid put forward the motion; he says without a Town Council in place, the effects can be seen through a number of wide-ranging issues:
