Army Bomb Disposal experts are en route to Manor View Park in Letterkenny to investigate a device which may be an unexploded shell in a house.
It’s understood the item was found on a beach and brought to the house, where other residents became concerned and raised the alarm.
Gardai are at the scene, which remains sealed off.
