Councillors in the Inishowen and Letterkenny Municipal Districts are welcoming confirmation that the Lough Swilly ferry service is to resume next month.
The service, which links Rathmullan and Buncrana will take to the water next month, and run until September.
Councillors have been told funding has been found to allow the service operate for the next four years.
