The Republic of Ireland U16 side went down to a hard fought 2-1 defeat to Romania in Buftea on Thursday.
Derry City’s Ronan McKinley was once again in the Republic starting eleven.
Paul Osam’s side put up a competitive display and led at half-time through a first half Conor Carty goal but the hosts got back in the tie after the break to claim the spoils.
McKinley was also in the starting side on Tuesday of this week where they lost the first tie to the hosts 3-1.
Ireland’s next game is against Brazil’s u15 next Wednesday in Dublin.
