Donegal County Council is being urged to seek more funding for the treatment of Japanese Knotweed.
The invasive plant has been known to seriously affect other native plants with reports now suggesting the problem is worsening in West Donegal.
People are also being reminded not to cut the plant themselves and report any sightings to the Council.
Speaking earlier on the 10 to 1 show, local Cllr Seamus O’Domhnaill while ackowledging the current efforts being made by the Council, he says more money from Government is required to tackle the issue:
