Gardai in Letterkenny are searching for a weapon that may have been used in the murder of a man in the town.
The 36 year old died from injuries he sustained at a house in Sylvan Park last week and following the results of a post mortem the investigation has been upgraded to murder.
Detective Inspector Pat O’Donnell says a number of people were seen leaving and returning to the property on Wednesday when the incident is believed to have happened.
He’s also urging residents in the wider Gortlee area to check around their homes for the weapon:
