Funding confirmed for a number of Finn Valley walking and cycling routes

Funding has been confirmed for a number of walking and cycling routes across the Stranorlar/ Ballybofey area, with works already underway on three routes.
The routes include; Screen Lane, past Drumboe avenue, Creggan Forest Walk, Drumboe Woods to link to Drumboe Road, Holy Well Wood – beside Creggan Forest, Killygordon and Drumboe Bridge and The Steeple.
Funding has also been granted to Waterlane, Stranorlar to approximately 200 metres of the route towards the Railway tracks.
It is hoped future funding can be secured to extend the trail around the tracks.
Donegal Deputy Thomas Pringle says these routes will be excellent for tourism in the county and the promotion of all parts of Donegal.
