Two men are expected to appear in court in Derry today after a 16 year old boy was assaulted in the city on Saturday night.
The youth was rushed to Intensive Care with facial and head injuries after the assault in the Violet Street area at 7 o’clock on Saturday night. Police say he is in a stable condition, and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A second man, aged 22, suffered a suspected broken nose.
Two males, aged 17 and 23, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent; and assault, occasioning actual bodily harm.
